Highlanders registered their fifth successive draw of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season after playing out a goalless stalemate against FC Platinum.
Bosso have now dropped 10 points in their opening five matches, a run that continues to hinder their early-season momentum.
Ahead of the match, Highlanders endured a disruption after being forced into a late change just before kick-off, with Kudakwashe Mahachi replacing the unwell Lawrence Mhlanga.
The hosts were already dealing with notable absences, as star midfielder Mongameli Tshuma and goalkeeper Reward Muza were both unavailable, handing Aron Ngwenya a starting role.
Their difficulties continued in the 13th minute when Mvelo Khoza was stretchered off following a heavy challenge with an FC Platinum player. He was replaced by Andrew Mbeba.
FC Platinum made the brighter start and nearly took an early lead after captain Mbongeni Ndlovu set up Tadiwa Mushenje, but the forward misdirected his effort.
Highlanders gradually settled into the match, and Prince Ndlovu squandered a golden opportunity in the 32nd minute, taking too long on the ball and allowing the visitors to clear.
Nigerian forward Benjamin Adeogun and Never Rauzhi also had good chances, but neither side was able to find the breakthrough.
In the second half, both teams pushed forward and created openings, but despite several substitutions, neither side could convert, as the match ended goalless.
The result put Highlanders on number twelve, while FC Platinum jumped to number 9.
