Tinashe Sambiri– Controversial Zanu PF official Killer Zivhu has sparked fresh political debate after openly questioning the direction of the Second Republic under President Emmerson Mnangagwa, in remarks that have stirred discussion within ruling party circles and beyond.

Zivhu made the comments on X on Tuesday, reflecting on public expectations at the start of the new political era and suggesting that those hopes have not been fully realised.

“The Second Republic brought hope for development, free speech, human rights, and an end to corruption,” he wrote.

“People expected faster infrastructure growth and electoral reforms. Now many ask: is this a new dispensation or new disorder? Government must act fast, Itai zvebasa varume.”

His remarks quickly gained attention online, with some viewing them as unusually candid criticism from a senior figure within the ruling party, while others interpreted them as a reflection of growing frustration over economic and governance challenges.
