The tech giant has committed <strong>\u20a62.8 billion<\/strong> to AI talent development in Nigeria, funding initiatives such as:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DeepTech Ready Upskilling<\/strong>, which trains <strong>20,000 Nigerians<\/strong> in data science and AI.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience AI<\/strong>, a program helping teachers introduce AI concepts to <strong>125,000 students<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>University Access Programmes<\/strong>, providing African university students with <strong>a year of free access to premium AI tools<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Empowering Public Sector Transformation<\/h3>\n<p>According to <strong>Chris Ferguson<\/strong>, Vice President at <strong>Apolitical<\/strong>, the platform co-leading the initiative, the AI Government Campus will <strong>equip public officials at all levels<\/strong>\u2014from senior policymakers to mid-level administrators\u2014with the skills needed to integrate AI into governance.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe program is designed to empower decision-makers to identify opportunities for AI across ministries and agencies,\u201d Ferguson explained. \u201cIt\u2019s about giving civil servants the practical knowledge to apply AI responsibly and effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The training emphasizes <strong>ethical frameworks<\/strong>, <strong>data privacy<\/strong>, and <strong>responsible deployment<\/strong> of AI to ensure technology strengthens, rather than replaces, human judgment in public decision-making.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building a Digitally Ready Civil Service<\/h3>\n<p>The AI Government Campus aligns with <strong>Nigeria\u2019s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy<\/strong> and complements efforts by the <strong>Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy<\/strong> to build a <strong>digitally fluent civil service<\/strong> capable of driving innovation.<\/p>\n<p>By combining <strong>technical training, policy guidance, and practical implementation tools<\/strong>, the initiative is expected to enhance <strong>service delivery<\/strong>, <strong>data-driven decision-making<\/strong>, and <strong>citizen engagement<\/strong> across government institutions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis marks a new chapter for Nigeria\u2019s public sector,\u201d Tijani said. \u201cWe are not only preparing for the future \u2014 we are
