It\u2019s also more about the lifestyle that I\u2019m used to living, so it was easy for me to agree to be part of it,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n<p>For Morolong, Slay Queens is more than glitz, designer labels, and champagne nights\u2014it\u2019s a chance to show Mzansi who she really is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m always misunderstood. People always assume the worst, but this documentary made me show my other side, from humble beginnings to where I am now,\u201d she said. \u201cI hope my story inspires young girls from small towns that if I can make it, they can also make it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a single mother and entrepreneur who has fought to stay relevant in one of the toughest industries, Morolong says her journey has been anything but easy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn life it\u2019s important to be patient; good things come to those who wait,\u201d she said. \u201cI hope viewers learn that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve almost everything. Furthermore, it\u2019s important to believe in God and put Him first in everything you do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But beyond the glitter, Morolong doesn\u2019t shy away from exposing the darker realities of the \u201cslay queen\u201d lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is not easy being a slay queen. It takes a lot of money and time to maintain that high-standard look,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome girls fall into debt or end up stranded in foreign countries; others even face abuse or depression but hide it behind the flashy lifestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the criticism that comes with the term, Morolong insists that being a \u201cslay queen\u201d isn\u2019t what many think it is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople think slay queens are high-class escorts or something like that. Even a hardworking woman like Beyonc\u00e9 can look and be labelled a slay queen, but she\u2019s also a wife and a mother. Some women just love to glam up and look good, and that doesn\u2019t make them bad people,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking candidly about the dynamics between men and women in this world, Morolong added, \u201cMen are naturally providers. When they feel like flashing money, they always want to be seen with women who look like slay queens.
