Buyers also must know that buying a house at an auction means you inherit the burden of evicting the tenants if the property is occupied.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another questioned the legality of the matter, saying: \u201cI think the story is not complete. How can the bank sell your house without your consent? Is the bank the owner of the house or you, ma\u2019am?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A third commenter challenged Mkhize directly, writing: \u201cShow us your proof of payment and that your bond account was in good standing prior to the auction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others sympathised with both parties, highlighting the complications that come with auction purchases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuying an occupied home at auction is asking for trouble,\u201d one user said. \u201cBasically, the buyer has been paying a bond for two years on a house he does not live in. Eviction court processes are time-consuming.
