13 December 2025, has officially been postponed, confirming suspicions that the event was unlikely to go ahead as planned.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement from Ye\u2019s manager, Peter Jideonwo, it was revealed that the show is being reworked into a much larger Yeezy-led production.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeezy LLC confirms that Ye\u2019s Johannesburg performance is being expanded into a larger Yeezy-led production in South Africa,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo support the bigger production and broadcast plans, the performance previously scheduled for Saturday, 13 December 2025 will not be taking place on that date and is moving to a new date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jideonwo added that Ye remains committed to performing on the continent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYe and the Yeezy team remain committed and excited to perform in South Africa and to share the Johannesburg homecoming live and via broadcast with fans worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>A new date will be announced in the coming days via Ye\u2019s verified channels and Yeezy LLC,\u201d the statement concluded.<\/p>\n<p>The update also confirmed that Monyake Group, the company originally announced as the show\u2019s promoter, has been removed from the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeezy LLC is no longer working with the previously announced promoter on this project due to non-compliance,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>Fans who already purchased tickets will receive full refunds through TicketPro.<\/p>\n<p>The Johannesburg postponement follows a similar situation in Brazil, where Kanye\u2019s show scheduled for 29 November 2025 was cancelled just a week before the date.<\/p>\n<p>The original venue in S\u00e3o Paulo terminated its agreement in October, and the city\u2019s mayor later stated that no public space would be allocated for the performance.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued by the Brazil organisers, they confirmed they could not secure a venue that met Ye\u2019s requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith great regret, we announce that the concert of artist Kanye West (YE)\u2026 will not be held,\u201d the organisers said.<\/p>\n<p>They added that escalating production demands and political constraints made it \u201cimpossible to deliver the event\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A new date for Kanye\u2019s South African performance is expected to be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 4
