There are so many flaws in this system that it has become painful to watch. Millions are being poured into commissions while the people who have suffered under these criminals are left unprotected. Witness D\u2019s death showed us everything we needed to know,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Thobejane said the tragedy reinforced her belief that ordinary South Africans are not adequately protected.<\/p>\n<p>She added a caption that read: \u201cThe justice system does not care about ordinary citizens. Those inside the commission sit behind protected walls. We are the ones who bleed, bury, and fear for our lives. And somehow, we are told to stay calm and stop \u2018venting.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She went on to call out those in power for failing to shield people targeted by what she referred to as the Big Five Criminal Cartel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat more must happen before someone in power protects the people who actually need protection? At this point we do not even know if we will all see next year alive. This is not justice.
