{"id":47617,"date":"2026-01-16T16:53:24","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T16:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eduzim.co.zw\/news\/?p=47617"},"modified":"2026-01-16T16:53:24","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T16:53:24","slug":"huawei-kenya-school-of-government-partner-to-boost-public-sector-digital-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eduzim.co.zw\/news\/2026\/01\/16\/huawei-kenya-school-of-government-partner-to-boost-public-sector-digital-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"Huawei, Kenya School of Government Partner to Boost Public Sector Digital Skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Chinese telecoms firm Huawei will partner with the Kenya School of Government, a state-funded training institution for civil servants, to advance the digitization of Kenya\u2019s public sector.<\/p>\n<p>Huawei said in a statement released late Monday in Nairobi that the collaboration will focus on strengthening digital capacity through advanced skills development in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing and digital governance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe welcome this strategic engagement with Huawei as a catalyst for accelerating digital transformation within Kenya\u2019s public service,\u201d said Nura Mohamed, director general of the Kenya School of Government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur objective is to build a public workforce that is not only digitally literate but also proficient in applying cloud, AI and cybersecurity tools to improve service delivery, enhance institutional performance, and safeguard citizen data,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Huawei has recently expanded support for digital literacy in Kenya through partnerships with state agencies.
