And had property destroyed by 2 women. I\u2019ve never opened a case nor spoken about it publicly. Most other men don\u2019t either,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that this silence contributes to the low number of reported cases involving women abusing men.<\/p>\n<p>According to Penuel, this lack of reporting plays a role in shaping what he described as a \u201clopsided\u201d narrative around abuse statistics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is why data on women abusing men is so low &amp; the narrative is lopsided,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>While Penuel did not go into further detail, his post offers insight into why many male victims choose not to come forward, particularly due to stigma, fear of not being taken seriously, or social expectations around masculinity.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I\u2019ve been slapped, punched and\/or kicked by 5 women in my life.<\/p>\n<p>And had property destroyed by 2 women.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve never opened a case nor spoken about it publicly.
