{"id":49338,"date":"2026-02-07T08:28:02","date_gmt":"2026-02-07T08:28:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eduzim.co.zw\/news\/?p=49338"},"modified":"2026-02-07T08:28:02","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T08:28:02","slug":"angola-to-pilot-artificial-intelligence-in-primary-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eduzim.co.zw\/news\/2026\/02\/07\/angola-to-pilot-artificial-intelligence-in-primary-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Angola to Pilot Artificial Intelligence in Primary Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Angola will introduce artificial intelligence into its primary school system beginning this month, the country\u2019s minister of education said.<\/p>\n<p>Education Minister Lu\u00edsa Grilo announced that the government has identified 10 primary schools across 10 provinces to participate in a pilot project to implement AI tools and technologies in classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>Grilo said schools will begin receiving infrastructure and equipment needed to support AI this month as part of the initiative. The programme, she said, was developed under a memorandum of understanding signed in 2024 between Angola\u2019s Ministry of Education and the Digital School of the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n<p>The initial phase of the pilot will focus on training teachers and school administrators to use the technology.
