It is an orchestrated campaign designed to instil fear, suffocate the will of the people, silence their voice, and strip citizens of their constitutional authority,” the statement read.

Chamisa maintained that the constitutional amendments in question are unlawful and should be resisted. “These illegal amendments must be firmly opposed. Terror, and every act of terror, must be unequivocally condemned,” he said.

According to Chamisa, the situation reflects deeper governance challenges facing the country. “The crisis in Zimbabwe is fundamentally a crisis of governance, and this constitutional amendment stands as its clearest manifestation,” he stated.

He further criticised what he called a shift from democratic engagement to repression. “When those in power abandon persuasion for persecution, and dialogue for brutality, they reveal a glaring confession of weakness, evidence of eroded public trust, diminished legitimacy, and a collapsing social contract,” he said.

Chamisa added that the use of force signals insecurity within leadership structures. “Resorting to violence as a tool of coercion is proof of lost confidence and lack of citizen support. A leadership secure in its mandate does not fear dissent; it engages it.”

Emphasising the importance of the rule of law, he said, “No one is above the law. The law must shield every citizen equally, not serve as a weapon for the powerful and a burden for the powerless. Justice must operate without fear or favour.”

Chamisa called on Zimbabweans to unite in confronting what he described as a worsening constitutional and governance crisis. “President Chamisa urges all citizens to work together and stand united against the decay of governance and the deepening constitutional crisis confronting our nation, working collectively to restore dignity, constitutionalism, justice, and protection for all,” the statement said.
He concluded with an appeal for collective action: “Together, we, the citizens, must resolve the governance and constitutional crisis facing our country.”

Related

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1669381584671856"
     data-ad-slot="3579572842"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>
#President #Chamisa #Denounces #Brutal #Attack #Lovemore #Madhuku #NCA #Members #ZimEye

President Chamisa Denounces Brutal Attack On Lovemore Madhuku, NCA Members STATEMENT ON ESCALATING VIOLENCE AND A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS….President Chamisa Bureau…

[32,11
668,4555,1141,2765,6694,6322,9804,1423,9777,202,313
post-51329","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-mzansi","category-world","tag-attack","tag-brutal","tag-chamisa","tag-denounces","tag-eduzim","tag-lovemore","tag-madhuku","tag-members","tag-nca","tag-news","tag-president
["GET
