Speaking after the match, Hurzeler expressed clear frustration with the visitors\u2019 tactics, arguing that their approach to slowing down the game went beyond normal match management.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me, that\u2019s not football. When you take that long for every set piece, every goal kick, every throw-in, it destroys the rhythm of the game,\u201d Hurzeler said.
The Brighton coach suggested that Arsenal\u2019s strategy disrupted the flow of play and undermined the spirit in which the sport should be played.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt felt like they were not really playing football anymore. It felt like they were making their own rules in certain moments,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
While acknowledging Arsenal\u2019s strong position at the top of the table, Hurzeler maintained that there should be boundaries when it comes to controlling the tempo of matches.<\/p>\n
\u201cI understand they want to win and manage the game, but there has to be a line. People come to see football,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
