Tinashe Sambiri\u2013 Advocate Nelson Chamisa has strongly responded to critics following controversy surrounding a Facebook post in which he used the slogan #NoTo2050, insisting that his message has been deliberately misrepresented.<\/p>\n
In a brief statement released on Friday morning, Chamisa clarified the meaning behind the hashtag, which has sparked widespread debate across social media and in political circles.<\/p>\n
\u201cBE CLEAR\u2026#NoTo2050 means No to ED\u2019s current rigged term and No to any such term\u2019s extension,\u201d Chamisa said.<\/p>\n
The opposition leader accused some commentators of twisting his words in an attempt to push political propaganda.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you claim it means anything else, you are not quoting me, you are gaslighting, fabricating and inventing me. Stop the desperate propaganda!!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Chamisa\u2019s remarks come as discussions intensify around the meaning of the slogan, with many linking it to concerns over possible extensions of presidential term limits associated with Emmerson Mnangagwa.<\/p>\n
According to Chamisa, the campaign is specifically aimed at opposing what he describes as an unlawful continuation or extension of the current presidential term.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe message is straightforward. It is about defending democracy and preventing the manipulation of constitutional limits. Anything beyond that is a distortion of my words,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
