ZANU PF Tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivayo Gifts US$450k Brand New Motor Vehicle To Bishop Mutendi<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
Tinashe Sambiri\u2013 Controversial businessman and alleged ZANU PF-linked tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivayo has announced that he will donate a luxury vehicle worth about US$450,000 to Nehemiah Mutendi, the leader of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC).<\/p>\n
Chivayo made the announcement on Thursday, revealing that he intends to donate a brand new 2026 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680 to the bishop while praising his spiritual leadership and charitable initiatives.<\/p>\n
In a message celebrating the cleric, Chivayo said he admired religious leaders who dedicate their lives to serving others regardless of denominational differences.
\u201cAs much as I am a devoted lifetime member of the Johanne Masowe Chishanu Church, nothing is as satisfying as celebrating a man of God who leads a different congregation but has remained consistent in delivering the word of God and advancing charitable work meant to uplift those who are less privileged,\u201d Chivayo said.<\/p>\n
The businessman said he had made a personal commitment to acknowledge individuals who dedicate their lives to serving others.<\/p>\n
\u201cI made a promise to the Almighty God that I will never tire of giving proper recognition to those whose lives are devoted not to themselves, but to the service of others and to the work of the Kingdom of God,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Chivayo described Mutendi as a humble religious leader whose spiritual leadership has positively impacted many people.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday I once again celebrate a very humble yet richly blessed servant of God, His Grace Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi. Through your spiritual leadership, many souls have found salvation and many lives have been transformed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
As part of the gesture, Chivayo said he would personally deliver the luxury vehicle to the bishop.
\u201cAs a small token of my appreciation for your tireless commitment to the work of God, and as you prepare to host the ZCC Annual Easter Conference, I humbly donate a brand spanking new 2026 Mercedes Benz Maybach S680 valued at US$450,000, which I will personally deliver to you at a location of your choice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Chivayo noted that the vehicle would not be the first luxury car he has given to the church leader.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know that last year you graciously accepted the latest model of the Maybach GLS600, although I never had the opportunity to receive your feedback on how it has been performing. Perhaps the comparison will now be easier if you have another Maybach model,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The businessman also praised the ZCC leadership for how it used previous financial donations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI must also express how deeply impressed I have been by the manner in which the ZCC has utilized the 2024 and 2025 US$1 million donations I gave towards the church\u2019s charitable works,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to Chivayo, the funds supported initiatives such as the construction of schools, payment of tuition fees for underprivileged children and programs aimed at empowering women and girls.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am filled with profound respect for the stewardship and integrity demonstrated under your leadership,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He further pledged to increase his financial contributions to the church this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am pleased to announce that for 2026 I have now doubled my previous donation, and I will humbly donate a total amount of US$2 million.<\/p>\n
The first US$1 million is ready for disbursement immediately and awaits your further instructions, while the second US$1 million will be dispatched during the first week of July,\u201d Chivayo said.
Chivayo, who has often been described by critics as a politically connected businessman with close ties to Emmerson Mnangagwa, concluded by wishing the bishop continued wisdom and strength in his spiritual leadership.<\/p>\n
\u201cMay the Lord our Almighty God continue to bless you with wisdom, strength and good health as you guide many more souls towards salvation and a life of purpose,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
