President ED Mnangagwa, through Dr Tagwirei, extended a hand in the house of Lord by contributing $1 million for refurbishment, a fuel tanker, and scholarships for church school kids.”

The Johanne Marange Apostolic Church was founded around 1932 in Bocha, Marange, and has grown into one of Zimbabwe’s largest apostolic sects.

Kandishaya said several traditional leaders attended the gathering and were given financial gifts and livestock by Tagwirei.
“Chiefs Chipunza, Makoni, Chiduku, and Marange attended, and Dr Kuda Tagwirei, representing President ED Mnangagwa, gave them $2500 each as thanks for supporting church activities. They also received 6 cattle (5 heifers and 1 bull).”

The event was also attended by ruling party officials and government representatives including Zanu PF Makoni District Coordinating Committee chairman Kudzi Chipanga, provincial youth league vice chairman Victor Saunyama, Member of Parliament Mapfumo and businessman Basil Nyabadza.

Tagwirei, a prominent businessman and close ally of Mnangagwa, serves as chairperson of the Land Tenure Committee and is a member of the Zanu PF Central Committee.

However, critics have described the cash handouts to traditional leaders as a form of political patronage, raising concerns that the gesture may be linked to efforts to consolidate support for potential constitutional changes that could extend Mnangagwa’s time in office.

Related

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1669381584671856"
     data-ad-slot="3579572842"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>
#Kuda #Tagwirei #Bribes #Traditional #Leaders #USD #Cash #Tension #Rises #Presidential #Term #Extension #ZimEye

Kuda Tagwirei Bribes Traditional Leaders With 2500 USD Cash As Tension Rises Over Presidential Term Extension Tinashe Sambiri– Controversial Businessman…

[32,11
7314,73,6694,1244,3021,155,202,1405,697,6937,8334,2136,1673,45
post-53164","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-mzansi","category-world","tag-bribes","tag-cash","tag-eduzim","tag-extension","tag-kuda","tag-leaders","tag-news","tag-presidential","tag-rises","tag-tagwirei","tag-tension","tag-term","tag-traditional","tag-usd
["GET
