Thiaw instructed his players to leave the pitch before captain Sadio Man\u00e9 intervened and asked the team to return.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco\u2019s Ibrahim D\u00edaz eventually took the penalty after a lengthy stoppage, but Senegal goalkeeper \u00c9douard Mendy saved the spot-kick.<\/p>\n<p>Senegal went on to win the match 1\u20130 in the 5textra time.<\/p>\n<p>According to CAF, Senegal breached Article 84 of the Regulations of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), and the match has been given to Morocco on a 3-0 scoreline.<\/p>\n<p>Here is CAF\u2019s Appeals Board\u2019s full statement:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>The CAF Appeal Board decided that in application of Article 84 of the Regulations of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Senegal National Team is declared to have forfeited the Final Match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 (\u201cthe Match\u201d), with the result of the Match being recorded as 3\u20130 in favour of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>The Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Africaine de Football (\u201cCAF\u201d) Appeal Board decided today that in application of Article 84 of the Regulations of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Senegal National Team is declared to have forfeited the Final Match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 (\u201cthe Match\u201d), with the result of the Match being recorded as 3\u20130 in favour of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>On the appeal by the FRMF regarding the application of Articles 82 and 84 of the Regulations of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the CAF Appeal Board made the following rulings:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 \u201cThe appeal lodged by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) is declared admissible in form and the appeal is upheld.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The CAF Disciplinary Board decision is set aside.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The CAF Appeal Board further finds that the conduct of the Senegal team falls within the scope of Articles 82 and 84 of the Regulations of the Africa Cup of Nations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The protest lodged by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) is upheld.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 It is declared that the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration S\u00e9n\u00e9galaise de Football (FSF), through the conduct of its team, infringed Article 82 of the Regulations of the Africa Cup of Nations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 In application of Article 84 of the Regulations of the Africa Cup of Nations, the Senegal team is declared to have forfeited the match, with the result recorded as 3\u20130 in favour of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 All other motions or prayers for relief are dismissed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>The CAF Appeal Board also ruled that:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 \u201cThe appeal lodged in respect of Mr Isma\u00ebl Saibari (Player No. 11 of the Morocco National Team) is partially upheld.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The CAF Appeal Board confirms the finding that Mr Isma\u00ebl Saibari (Player No. 11 of the Morocco National Team) committed misconduct in violation of Articles 82 and 83(1) of the CAF Disciplinary Code.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The sanction imposed on Mr Isma\u00ebl Saibari (Player No. 11 of the Morocco National Team) is amended to a suspension of two (2) official CAF matches, of which one (1) match is suspended.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The fine of USD 100,000 imposed on Mr Isma\u00ebl Saibari (Player No. 11 of the Morocco National Team) is set aside.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The appeal lodged in respect of the ball boys incident is partially upheld.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The CAF Appeal Board confirms the finding that the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) is responsible for the conduct of the ball boys during the aforementioned match.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The fine imposed on the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) in respect of the ball boys incident is reduced to USD 50,000.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The appeal lodged in respect of the interference around the OFR\/VAR review area is dismissed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The fine of USD 100,000 imposed on the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) in respect of the interference around the OFR\/VAR review area is confirmed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The appeal lodged in respect of the laser incident is partially upheld.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u2013 The fine imposed on the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) in respect of the laser incident is reduced to USD 10,000.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;
