The atmosphere in the stadium was okay, but I mean the trip itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore the first game against the USA, we were driving to the stadium \u2014 total darkness around, no fans nearby. Usually, when you\u2019re going to a World Cup game, fans greet you everywhere, there\u2019s an incredible atmosphere. There was nothing. It didn\u2019t feel like a World Cup at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rooney feels the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is set to be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, will be one of the best tournaments ever.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cIn America, it will be different. There will be lots of fans. I think it\u2019s going to be really cool.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conditions will be tough \u2014 I mean flights and prices, that\u2019s an issue for people. But the one thing I\u2019ll say about Americans: they\u2019re the best at organising sporting events.
