They alleged Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, lifted the song\u2019s melody and bassline.<\/p>\n<p>Fraustro and Aguilar initially filed a federal copyright infringement lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALSO READ: Celine Dion announces comeback following health struggle<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-judge-s-ruling\">Judge\u2019s ruling<\/h2>\n<p>Cardi B\u2019s lawyers reportedly argued that the track was not registered with the US Copyright Office, a requirement for federal copyright claims. The plaintiffs then refiled under Texas state law.<\/p>\n<p>According to <em>Billboard<\/em>, US District Judge Fernando Rodriguez Jr. dismissed the case on Monday, 30 March.<\/p>\n<p>He said Cardi B does not have significant ties to Texas.
