{"id":54892,"date":"2026-04-03T22:45:57","date_gmt":"2026-04-03T22:45:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eduzim.co.zw\/news\/?p=54892"},"modified":"2026-04-03T22:45:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T22:45:57","slug":"police-release-names-of-masvingo-horror-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eduzim.co.zw\/news\/2026\/04\/03\/police-release-names-of-masvingo-horror-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Release Names Of Masvingo Horror Crash \u2013 Eduzim News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"post_data\">\n<p>Police Release Names Of Masvingo Horror Crash<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By Crime and Courts Reporter-The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released the names of people who died in the Masvingo horror crash.<\/p>\n<p>Six people died when the Toyota Corolla they were traveling in collided head\u2011on with a Mercedes\u2011Benz truck.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred on Thursday, 2 April 2026, at about 09:50 at the 246 km peg on the Harare\u2013Masvingo Road, Masvingo.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued on Good Friday, ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the victims have been identified by next of kin and were all from Tynwald North, Harare.<br \/>The deceased are Lilian Maranda Mujuru, 40, Nokutenda Mujuru, 15, Makanaka Mujuru, 13, Ronald Junior Mujuru, 11, Rufaro Shalom Mujuru, 7, and Kayden Mujuru, 3. Added Commissioner Nyathi:<br \/>\u201cThe Zimbabwe Republic Police extends deepest condolences to the family of the victims.
