The department official posted a meme mocking Musk\u2019s woes.<\/p>\n<p>He tweeted on X: \u201c@elonmusk watching more than 600 companies investing more in South Africa, complying with laws and thriving. Zero drama!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musk did not take kindly to the direct approach.<\/p>\n<p>He clapped back: \u201cStop being such a f**king racist, you a**hole\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t        <iframe title=\"bj_embed\" class=\"dx-embed\" id=\"dxIframe-0\" style=\"width: 100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Monyela responded with another meme, this time of EFF leader Julius Malema, who has also criticised Elon Musk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, o kwatile? [So you\u2019re angry?] Monyela tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t        <iframe title=\"bj_embed\" class=\"dx-embed\" id=\"dxIframe-1\" style=\"width: 100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Musk denied an X user\u2019s claim that his tweet had crossed the line.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fighting-disinformation\">FIGHTING DISINFORMATION<\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s not the first time Clayson Monyela has responded to Elon Musk\u2019s spread of disinformation about \u201crace laws\u201d in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>A year ago, the DIRCO DDG responded to a tweet by Musk about being a victim of \u201cracial discrimination\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Monyela responded: \u201cSir, that\u2019s NOT true and you know it! It\u2019s got nothing to do with your skin colour.\u00a0 Starlink is welcome to operate in South Africa, provided there\u2019s compliance with local laws.
