At the center stood Christian Katsande, dressed with deliberate symbolism\u2014a patterned shirt, a Zimbabwean scarf draped across his shoulders, a hat that tried to hold the moment together. He spoke with the cadence of ceremony, but his voice had to stretch to fill the empty space.<\/p>\n
