Wicknell Chivayo Pompously Announces Donation Of Brand New Cars To Own Legal Team<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
Controversial ZANU PF-linked businessman Wicknell Chivayo has announced he is gifting luxury vehicles to his legal team, at a time many Zimbabweans are facing economic hardship.<\/p>\n
Chivayo made the announcement in a Facebook post on Wednesday, praising lawyers Sikhumbuzo Mpofu and Advocate Edley Mubaiwa for their work in a recent High Court case.<\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t talk to me, talk to my lawyers\u2026 A wise man once said that in life, always ensure that you have a good wife, a good business, and a good lawyer,\u201d Chivayo wrote.<\/p>\n
He said the case involved regaining access to his two minor children, who he claimed had been \u201cunjustifiably withheld\u201d from him. \u201cTwo weeks ago, I experienced first hand the importance of having a good team of lawyers. I became the happiest man after the High Court ruled that I must have access to the most precious people in my life, my two minor children,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Chivayo credited the outcome to his legal team\u2019s work, citing \u201csleepless nights, well crafted heads of argument, forensic legal reasoning and astute strategy.\u201d He added, \u201cIt is through your impeccable submissions that my joy has been restored, and over the past few days, I have had the privilege of spending quality time in Mauritius with my children.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTo my learned friend and instructing attorney Sikhumbuzo Mpofu, and to the distinguished counsel, Advocate Edley Mubaiwa, you have proven your mantle and delivered far beyond expectation,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
As a reward, Chivayo said each lawyer should collect a \u201cbrand spanking new 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography\u201d from Victor at Exquisite Motors. \u201cBoth of which have been fully paid for and ready for collection,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
He also pledged US$50,000 to each lawyer. \u201cYou will each receive US$50,000, not as your legal fees, as those have been duly settled in full, but as a small token of appreciation for the excellent service you rendered,\u201d Chivayo wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cEnjoy your new rides, my learned colleagues. It is through your hard work that my rightful place as a loving father to my beautiful children has been restored,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
