Privacy Policy for ZimProv

ZimProv ("the App", "we", "us") is a free driving-test study app for Zimbabwean learner drivers, published by Zimwebtech. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles when you install and use it from Google Play.

1. No Account or Personal Information Required

ZimProv does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number in order to use the App. All quiz content, mock tests, and study material are available immediately after installation.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App uses local device storage to save your progress, such as:

• Quiz scores and mock test history
• Streaks and topic mastery percentages
• App preferences (e.g. theme settings)

This information is stored only on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this data ourselves.

3. Permissions Used

The App requests the following device permissions:

• Internet access — required for the App to load its content and function. No personal data is transmitted through this connection beyond the anonymous analytics described in Section 4, if applicable.
• Storage/file access — used solely to allow the App to function correctly (for example, caching content for offline use). This is not used to read, collect, or share your personal files or photos.

The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or messages.

4. Analytics

The App may use Google Analytics and/or Google Play services to collect anonymous, aggregated usage information — such as app opens, screens viewed, and general device/OS information — to help us understand how the App is used and to improve it. This information is not linked to your name or identity.

You can control ad personalization and data collection for all apps through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.

5. No Advertising

ZimProv does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs or ad networks.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information with third parties. Any anonymous analytics data (see Section 4) is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy.

7. Children's Privacy

ZimProv is intended for learner drivers preparing for Zimbabwe's VID provisional licence test, generally aged 16 and above. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data Security

Since ZimProv does not collect personal information from you, there is minimal risk to your personal data through use of the App. Data saved on your device is protected by your device's own security features.

9. Your Choices

You may uninstall the App at any time, which will remove all locally stored progress and data from your device. You can also clear the App's data via your device's Settings > Apps > ZimProv > Storage.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
