CAPS United moved two points clear at the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after beating Telone 1-0 in a Matchday 8 encounter played at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
Takunda Benhura scored the only goal of the match in the first half to put the Green Machine ahead.
Telone failed to recover and ended the match with a loss.
The result puts CAPS on 19 points, two ahead of second-placed Hardrock, who moved to 17 points after playing out a 2-2 draw against Ngezi Platinum Stars.
Hardrock got their goals from Munyaradzi Diro and Washington Navaya, while Ngezi secured the draw through goals from Malvern Gaki and Ashwin Karengesha.
At Mandava Stadium, FC Platinum also played out a 2-2 draw against MWOS.
The Platinum Boys scored through Abraham Tjahikika and Trevor Bhunu, while MWOS were on target courtesy of goals from Prince Magondo and Wilson Mensah.
Both sides finished the match with a man down after Tadiwa Muchenje and Jeremiah Makangira received red cards towards the end of the match.
Elsewhere, Agama and Simba played out a 2-2 draw, while Triangle United beat Manica Diamonds 2-0.
