In a statement posted on its verified page, the movement said: “Zandile Dabula has reportedly informed the Operation Dudula Movement of her intention to resign as leader.”

It added that, in a letter to the organisation, Dabula “cited internal divisions and other challenges as reasons for stepping down,” signalling fractures within the group’s leadership structures.

Notably, the organisation’s use of the word “reportedly” — despite issuing the statement itself — raises questions about internal coherence and whether the resignation has been formally processed or remains contested within the movement.
