Hardrock registered the biggest win of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season so far after thrashing Hunters 6-1 in a Matchday 10 encounter played at Chahwanda Stadium on Saturday.
Hardrock started the rout with Junior Makunike’s sixth-minute strike, which separated the teams at half-time.
Washington Navaya doubled the advantage just two minutes into the second half before Makunike completed his brace eight minutes later to make it three.
Hunters showed signs of a comeback when Ellie Ilunga pulled one back in the 70th minute.
However, the response did not yield another goal, as the hosts extended their cushion in the closing stages. Tinashe Mashaireni scored a stoppage-time brace, while Donald Mudadi also got on the scoresheet to seal the emphatic victory.
The win took Hardrock to 21 points, reducing CAPS United’s lead at the top to just two points.
The Green Machine surrendered ground after falling 1-0 to Bulawayo Chiefs, with Panashe Shoko converting a 70th-minute penalty to secure the points.
Elsewhere, Agama played out a goalless draw against FC Platinum, while ZPC Kariba and MWOS also shared the spoils in another 0-0 stalemate.
