Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president Nqobile Magwizi has been confirmed as one of the candidates vying for a post in the COSAFA Executive Committee.
Magwizi is targeting an Executive Committee member position ahead of the elective congress set to be held in Harare this month.
The elections, which will form part of the Annual General Meeting, are scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026.
The ZIFA boss will compete against Robert Shimooshili (Namibia), Linda Zwane (South Africa), Peter Simelane (Eswatini) and Lijane Nthunya (Lesotho).
The Executive Committee race has five candidates contesting for four available seats.
Meanwhile, the positions of President, Vice-President and the reserved women’s seat are uncontested.
The election will be conducted by secret ballot, with the COSAFA Electoral Committee set to supervise the voting process in accordance with the organisation’s Electoral Code.
