Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe has explained how ZPC Kariba disrupted their approach in their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 9 encounter at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
The match ended goalless, but Mangombe was not happy with his team not scoring after ZPC Kariba’s delaying tactics affected their approach throughout the game.
The visitors killed the momentum by seemingly faking injuries, causing unnecessary stoppages.
Speaking after the game, Mangombe said: “When playing ZPC Kariba, you don’t score easily.
“They try to disrupt the system, delaying tactics, disturbing the rhythm. But at half-time we said we needed to change our application psychologically.”
Mangombe added: “We were not spot on; we were not hungry enough. We needed to change our attitude and apply ourselves better so we could get entries into the box.
“We improved in the second half, we tried to attack, but it’s unfortunate we didn’t score.”
