Chivayo, a polarising figure in Zimbabwe’s business landscape, has long been associated with controversy, particularly in relation to government-linked contracts. He first drew widespread attention through energy sector deals, most notably the Gwanda solar project, which faced scrutiny over issues of transparency, financing, and non-delivery.
