Marshall Munetsi’s Paris FC move in limbo as Nottingham Forest approach Wolves for his signature

Zimbabwe international Marshall Munetsi could be set for a dramatic change in transfer plans, with his anticipated move to Paris FC now hanging in the balance amid fresh interest from the English Premier League.

Munetsi, who has been heavily linked with a permanent switch to the French side ahead of the next transfer window, is now attracting attention from Nottingham Forest, who have reportedly made contact with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a potential deal.

The midfielder was seemingly set to join Paris FC on a permanent transfer after admitting that he wants to remain at the club beyond the end of his six-month loan stay.

The French side are also keen to retain the Zimbabwe international ahead of next season, having been impressed by his performances during his loan spell.

Wolves are understood to be open to letting him leave, but the emergence of Nottingham Forest’s interest has thrown his intended transfer into uncertainty, with reports from France suggesting that the two English clubs are already in talks.

French journalist Santi Aouna posted on X:

“Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton are close to a principle agreement for Marshall Munetsi.

“However, the player’s priority remains Paris FC, where he wishes to continue the adventure.

“But… no discussions have been held with the capital club at this time.”

Should Nottingham links materialise, Munetsi could reunite with Vitor Pereira, who brought him at Wolves from Stade de Reims at the start of 2025.
