Benjani Mwaruwari frustrated as Highlanders’ poor run continues

Highlanders coach Benjani Mwaruwari has expressed disappointment over his team’s poor run, which has seen them collect 11 points out of a possible 30.

Bosso, who have managed just one win, one loss and eight draws so far this season, dropped points again on Friday after playing out a 1-1 draw against Herentals at Rufaro Stadium.

Speaking after the game, Mwaruwari said: “We were looking forward to coming here and doing well, but so far the results are not coming our way.

“As a coach, if the results don’t come, that’s disappointing. We tried everything, but it didn’t come. We’ll keep pushing. Hopefully one day, or sooner, we’ll get those results.”

Highlanders had taken the lead through Isaac Ngoma’s penalty in the 37th minute, but Herentals restored parity through Tinashe Mazambani on the stroke of half-time.

The result put Bosso on 11 points in number 10, while Herentals moved to 17 points in sixth place.
