The Zimbabwe
School Examinations Council (
Zimsec) has not yet made a decision on whether June examinations will take place this year. Last year, the council had to cancel the June examinations due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement, Zimsec said that they are currently assessing the situation and will provide an official update on the status of the June examinations. The council emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of all examination candidates and staff before making a decision.
The uncertainty surrounding the June examinations has caused concern among students and parents, who are eagerly awaiting an official announcement. Many are hoping that the exams will be reintroduced this year, as they provide an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
The council has urged the public to wait for an official update and to abide by the guidelines and regulations set by the government and health authorities in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.
