What is IELTS? Where to take IELTS test in Zimbabwe and IELTS sample tests

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a standardized test designed to assess the language proficiency of non-native English speakers who want to study, work, or migrate to English-speaking countries. The IELTS test is widely recognized and accepted by universities, employers, and immigration authorities in many countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States.



The IELTS test measures the four language skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and it is available in two formats: Academic and General Training. The Academic format is intended for people who want to study at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, while the General Training format is intended for people who want to work, train, or migrate to an English-speaking country.
The IELTS test is scored on a scale of 0 to 9, with 9 being the highest score. Each skill is assessed separately, and the scores are combined to give an overall band score. Different organizations may have different minimum score requirements for IELTS, so it is important to check the requirements of the organization you are applying to.
